Planting
Plant in very well-drained soil, not too rich and even rocky or sandy. This plant is sensitive to winter damp and cold, but is relatively tolerant of moderate dry cold when in dry soil. We strongly recommend growing Mangave in containers in areas where winter is wet and cold.
Maintenance
Water regularly in summer, letting the soil dry out between waterings. In winter, discontinue watering and move the container to a sheltered area, in a bright, airy spot with little or no heating. Move the plant back outdoors when the weather warms up, from around April to October.
