Bougainvillea Violet de Mèze
Violet de Mèze is one of the hardiest Bougainvillea varieties. Its long, flexible branches bear spines and large green leaves. From May through September the plant puts on a show of masses of bright purple blossom.

In containers or in the ground, with a trellis or other structure to support the plant as it climbs.
Planting
In full sun and protected from the cold, in fertile, well-drained soil low in lime.
Maintenance
Prune very lightly at the end of winter and water regularly when the plant is in leaf.
