Nephrolepis Artic Jungle
This little fern, quite rustic for a Boston fern, forms an upright clump of lacy, bright apple-green leaves. The leaves die in winter and reappear in spring.

In shady beds and woodland plantings in mild regions; elsewhere, in a container that can be brought into a conservatory in the winter.
Planting
In part shade, in humus-rich soil that retains some moisture year-round.
Maintenance
If planted in the garden, mulch the base of the plant to protect it from frost. In containers, ensure that the soil does not dry out.
