Russelia equisetiformis

Firecracker plant. This Mexican native perennial forms a large clump of long, weeping stems in spring, followed by the fireworks: dangling bunches of little, brick-red tubular flowers appear in May and continue the show through to the first frosts. Simply spectacular!
